Hari advances and maintains key Utility client relationships and ensures client satisfaction. With over a decade in the industry, Hari has established, led, and managed program teams that provide all engineering, environmental, construction, O&M, asset management, and program management services and support on transmission, distribution, and substation projects across the United States. Hari led the identification, bid, capital program management, and execution of the Texas Competitive Renewable Energy Zones (CREZ) program for several utilities, a capital investment of more than $7B in a two year period.
As Vice Chair and Strategic Advisor of Edison Electric Institute's (EEI) Transmission Subject Area Committee (TSAC), Hari partners with other industry leaders to help shape the industry’s thinking, technology, & future.
Hari holds a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states.
Vinod works to bridge the gap between core engineering experts and data scientists in creating products that meld the two disciplines. Vinod has had varied experience in the utility and oil and gas industries spanning electrical utility grid performance and harmonic issues, electronic design, failure and reliability analyses, and algorithm development for control issues and asset management.
Vinod holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai and Masters and Doctorate degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Vinod has published multiple papers and is a recipient of a couple of patents.
Jesse Guzmàn, JR
Jesse comes from the owner/client side of the utility industry having worked for Xcel Energy in a senior role in the project controls department. In his role at Xcel Energy, Jesse helped set up the framework for a capital program with a budget in excess of $10B. At Think Power Solutions, Jesse leads the project controls department in their efforts to establish thorough, proven processes and provide Project Management Solutions to the nation’s top utilities. Jesse’s goals include instituting industry best practices to ensure the proper implementation and continual operation of project scheduling and monitoring programs which ensure and uphold company schedule structure requirements and company-wide reporting standards.
Jesse holds a BS in Manufacturing Engineering and is a registered Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Bryon Atchison (JR) brings with him nearly 25 years of transmission construction experience ranging from ground man and material handler, to upper line apprentice leader and later journeyman lineman, to working foreman and then field project manager for both non-capital and capital projects with budgets in excess of $250M. Jr has been trained and certified as per utility standards in barehand work by industry leaders and has also done barehand maintenance, created open points in lines rated at 115kV, and overseen hot stick work such as raising phases to upgrade pole heights from 60’ to 130’ on energized 69kV lines and up at Xcel Energy and OG&E. By developing great safe work habits, he has been able to pass them along to his crew and management alike, and his leadership and communications skills ensure that the work he performs is completed safely, economically, and in a timely fashion. At Think Power Solutions, Bryon has embraced his duties overseeing the safety of transmission Line construction projects while at the same time using Think Power ONE and other proprietary software to single handedly manage the construction of several job sites, coordination with contractors and material vendors, and the coordination of outages with system dispatching and ERCOT. Jr also oversees the quality control and adherence to construction specifications on new line projects, routine maintenance, and even storm restoration on affected transmission lines. He also spearheads the Think Power Solutions drone inspection program, holding the distinction of being the first of our several drone pilots to receive FAA certification.
His hobbies involve wood burning, and he goes by the call sign “Rocky Mountain Oyster”.
Keith Von Kohn
Keith spent 32 years with Oncor performing many jobs within the utility, mainly in the substation and transmission groups. He also spent time in the standards group, customer service and environmental services group as the engineering representative. His most recent position with Oncor was as Transmission Line Manager.
After retiring from Oncor, Keith ran the project management group at a support structure contractor, working with utilities on steel pole projects, and managed an engineering team at an ENR top-ranked contracting firm.
With a lifetime of utility experience, Keith brings to Think Power Solutions a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise on construction projects and emergency restorations.
Keith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
Rayford “RL” Grubbs
With more than four decades in the industry, RL has seen myriad positive changes in the evolution of health and safety. Before OSHA, injuries were merely “hazards of the job”. In 1982, RL was invited to be involved in a safety project to keep employees protected from significant injuries, but he quickly realized there was more to safety than that, so he attended night school to pursue an education in Occupational Safety and Health. With a passion for improving the health and safety culture of our workplace, RL is a Certified Utility Safety Professional and an OSHA Outreach trainer. He is certified to teach OSHA 10 and OSHA 30, and enjoys standing in front of a group of hands, discussing how to safely complete their assigned tasks.
RL is a life-long Texan, and a decorated veteran of foreign wars. RL and his wife have two children, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Rafi brings 10 years of public and corporate accounting experience. He spent many years as a Financial Auditor at a national accounting firm. He led many audit teams primarily in the Technology industry. He started his own firm, where he worked with many local and international businesses in Technology, Energy, Retail, Healthcare industries. He helped these companies with various complex accounting transactions, build a strong accounting and finance team, create and maintain internal controls.
Rafi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He is a member of AICPA and CalCPA.
Vamsi Alla brings with him almost two decades of IT industry experience, most of it in the Investor Owned Fortune 500 Electric and Gas Utility Corporations. He has vast experience in managing and delivering all facets of IT including Software Application Development, Software and Hardware upgrade cycle, full SDLC, In-House Developed Products, Vendor and Enterprise products, IT Systems Integration, Cloud migration etc. He has helped create and improve automated processes and digitize manual processes to mission critical operations that deliver critical electric and gas utility services to several million customers.
Vamsi Alla combines his educational and practical industry experience to keep up with Industry Best Practices and deploy them to improve efficiency of the projects he is involved in. In addition, he brings together his risk assessment, scheduling and effective stakeholder communication skills with proven track record for completing projects on schedule. At Think Power Solutions he is managing the IT Operations, New Software Products Development and IT Services.
Vamsi Alla has two Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from West Virginia University. He is actively engaged in his community and volunteers his time to various community projects. He is a member of his community School District’s Diversity Council. He coaches several kids in his community and teaches language class every Sunday. He enjoys time with his wife and daughter, and loves going to beaches and hiking nature trails with them.
Jason launched his career in the industry as an apprentice lineman for the union. He has over 23 years of experience in distribution, transmission and vegetation management. He rapidly advanced to a First Class Lineman, Union Steward, Safety Control Representative and Storm Specialist. He performed all responsibilities as a lineman and safety specialist for over ten years. He then worked as an Operations Coordinator of Vegetation Management controlling logistics and management of contractors, safety audits and coordination for multi-million dollar projects. He is very comfortable managing employees and contractors on a large scale. Jason has years of ice storm and hurricane experience navigating logistics for emergency restoration. He has been an inspector of distribution and transmission systems for five years. Jason’s extensive background in the utility field allows him to easily integrate and understand the needs of customers and contractors. His knowledge in resource management, project procedures, material coordination, scheduling and safety assessment is extensive. Jason is very comfortable in leadership roles and ensures communications with all parties involved on projects. Throughout his career he has worked for or coordinated projects with companies such as Houston Lighting and Power/Center Point Energy, Entergy, AEP, and Oncor.
Jason is married with three teenage sons. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending his free time with his family. When he is not working you most definitely will find him fishing at the bay, hunting or attending his sons’ baseball games.
