Talent Acquisition Specialist – Electrical Utilities
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for supporting recruiting efforts for technical and field-based roles supporting electrical utility infrastructure projects. This role partners with hiring managers and HR leadership to identify qualified candidates and maintain talent pipelines for positions across transmission, distribution, engineering, and construction operations.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist manages candidate sourcing, screening, and interview coordination while helping ensure the organization attracts and hires qualified professionals to support utility projects across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing
- Source and identify qualified candidates for roles supporting electrical utility operations including engineers, inspectors, construction managers, AutoCAD technicians, and field personnel.
- Utilize recruiting platforms, job boards, professional networks, and referrals to build candidate pipelines.
- Maintain talent pools for frequently hired roles within transmission and distribution (T&D) projects.
Candidate Screening
- Conduct initial candidate screenings to evaluate qualifications, experience, and project alignment.
- Review resumes to assess candidate experience related to utility engineering, construction oversight, and field operations.
- Present qualified candidates to hiring managers for further evaluation.
Interview Coordination
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Support hiring managers through the interview process and gather feedback.
- Maintain communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process.
Recruiting Operations
- Maintain job postings across recruiting platforms and ensure job descriptions remain current.
- Track candidate activity and maintain accurate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Assist with offer preparation and pre-employment documentation.
Hiring & Onboarding Support
- Support the onboarding process to ensure new hires are prepared for project assignments.
- Coordinate with HR and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment of personnel to utility projects.
